Chapter Leader Playbooks
Guides for running Applied AI Society chapters and events.
The job of a chapter is to cultivate a community of practice: a living, people-centered organism that compounds. Not a meetup, not a Discord. A room of real practitioners who are actively applying the craft, sharing field notes, and making each other better. Every chapter needs an anchor: a person (or small group) who has decided to take personal responsibility for that room existing in their city.
Every AAS event is an activation into the applied AI economy: a landscape map where real practitioners share how they actually make money. The audience leaves knowing what paths exist, what's real, and what's hype. The formats below are all ways to deliver on that promise.
Event Formats
Start here: Event Formats is a catalog of every event type we run or are developing, with guidance on when to use each one.
For organizers whose primary audience is business owners, Organizing An Applied AI Business Community is the brand-agnostic playbook for the recurring implementer meetup (three principles, one working format).
