Philosophy
Why we exist and how we operate.
The work of AAS runs on three pillars: Jarvis workshops (the hands-on path that puts applied AI literacy in your hands), this documentation site (the base layer of applied AI literacy for humanity), and local community chapters (the hyperlocal spaces where fluency compounds, because AI fluency and mastery are built in community). The philosophy docs below explain the deeper commitments that shape all three.
The Canon defines what we believe. The Principles translate those beliefs into operational commitments. The North Star defines how we hold ourselves accountable. Voices from the Applied AI Frontier collects the words of researchers, builders, and leaders who validate these ideas from the front lines.
| Document | Purpose |
|---|---|
| The Applied AI Canon | What we believe |
| Principles | How we operate |
| North Star | How we measure success |
| Voices from the Frontier | Who validates it |
| Why Field Notes | Why living field notes, not textbooks |
| Build Your Jarvis In Community | Why community is how you actually cross the Jarvis commitment curve |
| Either We Jarvis The World, Or AI Is Doomed | The exclusion-to-violence pipeline behind 2026's stop-AI movement, and why the intervention is a network of activated practitioners, not a single platform |
For the frameworks, patterns, and technical concepts that translate these principles into practice, see Concepts. Key starting points: Context Lake (the foundation) and Personal Agentic OS (the system you build).
